Carroll County Ministerial Association

We had a great turnout at the Carroll County Ministerial Association meeting this morning. We had 12 people which is a record for us. It seems there are so many meetings for people to attend and so many times there are just not enough hours in a day.

We just completed the Community Holy Week Services at the Hillsville VFW, this along with a Community Thanksgiving Service is the two events the CCMA does each year to offer a time for the public to come and hear about the ministries and give an offering to help those traveling through our communities who find themselves in need.

There seems to me a stirring in the clergy in Carroll County. There is a desire and willingness for all of us to work together and work for the common goal of winning lost people to Jesus Christ. I am so excited to be a part of this moment in time.

We had a special guest this morning from the Hope House in Galax, this is a place for those who find themselves homeless and a great ministry. I hope that you will pray about ways you can help in this ministry. Our guest was Deborah Payne, Executive Director of the Galax Hope House. galax-house-offers-hope

This morning we had Baptist, Methodist, Holiness, Brethren, Presbyterian, and Christian Disciples of Christ, all representing their places of worship at our meeting and I celebrate this. God is at work. If you minister in the Carroll County Area and would like to be involved, please join us each 2nd Wednesday morning @ Shoney’s @ 8:30am.
