10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!
I have been reflecting on the blessings of God this morning. At the beginning of this year Misty and I made a conscious decision that we would give more than a tithe this year. Not that we haven’t done that in the past but this was a new commitment, a decision to make sure that we gave of all the increase we were blessed with. By making this decision we have given more than we ever have before and I just want to encourage others to do the same. God has poured out His blessings. Number one, we haven’t gone hungry. Matter of fact we have been blessed again and again in financial ways and we haven’t missed paying a bill. However, the blessings have been even greater than financial. We have been blessed to be part of a growing ministry where lives are being changed on a daily basis, we are seeing more people come to know Christ than ever before in our ministry. I prayed for my family to be in church and serving God for 40 years and just a few weeks ago I baptized my dad. On Father’s day my mom and dad joined the church. God is pouring out His blessings on us. Don’t get me wrong, satan isn’t happy and he is doing everything that he can to distract us, to sidetrack, to tempt, and to discourage. I have never battled discouragement and depression like I have over the past year but we are Victorious in Christ Jesus.
Best of all, I know this is only the beginning. I will take the battle on every day because I have tried God and He is pouring out blessing, the windows are open.
