When he was insulted, he did not reply with insults. When he suffered, he did not threaten revenge. Instead, he entrusted himself to the one who judges justly. (1 Peter 2:23 CEB)
Jesus is the greatest example that we have but often people say “I’m not Jesus” so I cant respond like He did. The fact is, Jesus became one of us, he suffered as we suffer, he responded in his humanity as we do. We have no excuse.
When we are insulted, we are instructed to bless them in return.
When people do us wrong, we do not threaten to get even and we don’t try to get even.
We must live out our faith in God, resting assured He will do as he promises. We are not God!
