I wrote a few weeks ago that if John Wesley were alive today that he would blog and I believe that to be true. Wesley looked for opportunities to get the gospel to the people and further he looked for ways to allow people to know that he personally struggled. When I wrote that I started looking for a way to share and at the same time read Wesley’s Journal. A way to do that in a manner of a little bit every day. I believe that we can all get to know Wesley better and learn from his struggles as well. John Wesley was a man who did much work for the Kingdom of God and he still speaks from the grave in 2008.
Well, I have found a way to accomplish what it is I want to do. I have found a copy of Wesley’s Journal on the public domain of the Internet at http://www.ccel.org/ “Christian Classics Ethereal Library” . There are a lot of great resources here, check out the site.
I am going to post daily an excerpt from Wesley’s Journal as found on this site. Hopefully we can all use this as a way to learn about Wesley in short bites on a daily basis and that way it will not become overwhelming. I will also try to give you more information about John Wesley as time goes by. Now this is going to be a long endeavor. Wesley wrote a lot but I believe it is worth reading. I hope that you will join me.
Of course these blogs will be in addition to my usual blogs about life and church. I don’t plan to stop doing what I have already been doing.
