A Message From the Director
Wow, it’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is only two weeks away!  The Atlanta Marathon and Half Marathon organizing committee, the Atlanta Track Club staff and all our wonderful volunteers are busy working to ensure that this year’s event is the best ever.  Just a reminder as we get closer to race day, if you still have friends or family that are planning on participating in the Atlanta Marathon and Half Marathon, online registration will remain open through November 22.  Runners will also be able to sign up in person at the race expo on Tuesday, November 24.  Train well, and we’ll see you on Thanksgiving!

Atlanta Half Marathon Wave Start

To ensure a smooth start and help reduce congestion on the half marathon course, the race will begin with a wave start.  Runners in the first three corrals will start the race in the first wave at 7:00 a.m.  For runners in the fourth and fifth corrals, the second wave will start at 7:06 a.m. All half marathon participants will need to be in their corrals prior to 7:00 a.m.
