hello everyone!
thanks for the prayers – we can feel them!!! Ray and the gang are on their way to la chureca right now (the dump where people have built homes out of trash- the most intense poverty we will see all week) but I am still here at Ticomo (where we are staying). Unfortunately, I was up all night sick. It wasn´t because of the food or a virus or anything… i definitely have a bacteria in my stomach. haha. but never fear!! My leader has just druggred me up with an antibiotic you can´t get in the states and it will kill anything bad inside of me!! My stomach has been trying to cleanse itself since around 3 am by trying to get rid of everything inside of it…..in any way it can. it´s no fun – but it´s part of the experience i guess!!! hahaha. I would have went to la chureca this morning but they wouldn´t let me for fear of dehydration. I am definitely going to meet up with everyone after lunch though because we´re having our party with the prostitutes kids! PRAYING I GET TO SEE MARVIN!!! but, not getting my hopes up.
Yesterday we went to the river..which was basically like a really big tropical pond. it was SO FUN to play with the kids in the water. One of the older kids took Ray and I up the road for a hike to the top of a mini mountain thing.. oh my word, it was absolutely beautiful. we took pictures. we could see so far out on both sides. ´twas quite the experience.
A kid Ray and I were talking to yesterday started singing music and we asked what song it was and he said ¨la musica de christiana – christian music!! he was listening to hillsong but in spanish! we told him that we were in a christian band together and we got to talk about God for a bit (to the extent of our spanish, and his broken english) it was very cool.
Today we´re (the rest of the group minus me) are going to la chureca in the morning to read to the kids and then goin gto a church in managua in the afternoon to hang out with the prostitutes families – AND GIVE OUT SHOES!!!!!!!! woohoo!!!

could someone also call granny ,aunt cathy, and all the other family to tell them i don´t have their email correct in herebut i wanted to let them know we are safe and good too! AND THE CHURCH FAMILY!! we have THE BEST church family in the world!
