March 31st, 2010, In my 37th day of fasting and feeling great. I walked 2.2 miles today and admittedly I was ready to finish up but I honestly felt great. It is a beautiful, warm day and I have missed my running as much as I have missed food and many times I have missed running even more.
God is at work in my life. This morning I had a vision of baptizing my dad in the New River on May 23rd when we have our Pentecost Celebration on that day. To be honest I pray for my family daily but I had never had such a vision and I just believe that God will see it through to the end. I am excited, I am watching to see where God is working and I will adjust my life to respond accordingly.
It has been a long week and will be long still yet. We have had Holy Week Services at the local VFW for the past three nights and tonight is the final night. Tomorrow evening we have Maundy Thursday service out our church, 1st Hillsville UMC. Then on Friday I am walking with friends in Bristol to experience the scriptures concerning the last hours of Christ’s life.
I have lost 39 pounds and feel absolutely great.
