Reminders Week 2 – God Has A Plan For Your Life

God’s Plan Is To Make You and Mold You Into His Masterpiece

 Ephesians 2:1-10 NLT

Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else.

But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved! For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus.

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. 10 We are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

Reminder  #1. God’s Love Does Not Make Sense

Ephesians 2: 8

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.

God doesn’t love you today because you’re beautiful; he loves you because you are his. If you are loved by God it is because you are his, not because you are good, not because of good performance.

Somebody said to me on Friday, “I hope God is pleased with me.” I said he is, He is pleased with you because of Jesus.

God’s love doesn’t make sense.

Reminder  #2. God’s love means complete forgiveness.

Ephesians 2:9a

Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done.

If you’re a Christian, you’re forgiven for everything in your past and everything in your future.

John 19:30 Jesus died on the Cross and he said, “It is finished.” Paid in Full.

God loves us enough to Correct us BUT He will NOT Condemn us.

Hebrews 8:12

And I will forgive their wickedness,  and I will never again remember their sins.”

Isaiah 43:25

“I—yes, I alone—will blot out your sins for my own sake and will never think of them again.

Psalm 103:10

He does not punish us for all our sins; he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve.

Psalm 103:12

He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.

Reminder #3. God’s Love Is Permanent

Your big mess is not as BIG as God’s Love

Romans 8:38-39

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Reminder  #4. God Has A Plan For Your Life

Ephesians 2:10

We are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

God is the painter, we are the canvas.

God is the Builder, we are the house.

God is the Potter, we are the Clay.

God’s Plan for your life is to do the Good Things He Planned for you long ago.

God has specific works for you to do.

God’s love is bigger than the mess you’ve made. Come on back.
