We started the series this past Sunday called “the Circle Maker.” It is a series about prayer and I started by sharing a story about Honi the Circle Maker. Honi was known to pray for rain and one day before Jesus was born there was a drought and the people called on Honi. Honi drew a circle in the sand and knelt down to pray to God. He said, “God, I’m not moving from this circle until you answer my prayer. The legend says that God did answer his prayer and it did rain. We went back and saw that Honi took his lesson from Habakkuk.
God is a God of props, visuals, reminders, to keep us on track. God knows us well and he knows that we easily forget. If you were at OOTBWC on Sunday you received a “Prayer Circle.” I shared with you that I was going to wear mine and challenged you to use your for the next 21 days and circle your biggest dreams and your greatest fears.
I have seen more excitement and heard more comments about this challenge than any other over the past two years. People are doing creative things with their circles, people are getting serious with God.
I want to hear your stories. I want to help you pray for your miracle. Post comments here, inbox me on Facebook, send me a text or email and let me know what God is doing in your life. Post a picture of what you are doing with your prayer circle and tag me in it.
