On Monday January 19th I had the awesome opportunity to help officiate in the Celebration of Johnny Kidd’s going to his eternal home in Heaven.
Johnny was a great man who lived life in such a way that we can look to him as an example. Johnny always had words of encouragement, a smile and an outstanding attitude.
My greatetst memory of Johnny is when several years ago we were having an event in our church with a contemporary worship band and several people were not happy with the volume nor the type of music. I remember being nervous about all that and then I looked up and Johnny was in the back dancing.
King David danced before the Lord with all his might and I believe that today Johnny is dancing before the Lord with all his might.
We should attend more funerals because it is one appointment that none of us will miss. It will also help us keep perspective on what is important in life.
I thank God for the life and testimony of Johnny Kidd.
