A Message From the Director
Congratulations on registering for the 2009 Atlanta Marathon and Half Marathon on Thanksgiving Day!  With less than eight weeks to go before the big event, the Atlanta Marathon and Half Marathon organizing committee and the Atlanta Track Club have been busy preparing for this year’s event.  New this year, we have added pace teams for the half marathon to help runners achieve their goal finish times.  We are also excited about the addition of the Atlanta Marathon and Half Marathon Charity Partner Program for the 2009 event. Continue to train well, and see you on Thanksgiving morning!

New for the 2009 event, pace teams have been added for the Atlanta Half Marathon.  Pacers provide a great opportunity for runners to achieve their goal finish time, and pacer finish times will range from one hour and thirty minutes to two and a half hours.   This Saturday, October 10, join the Atlanta Marathon Pace Team at Whole Foods in Buckhead for a pace run sponsored by WestStride. Runners will have a choice of doing an eight or ten mile route.
