This Holy Mystery

I now have a Covenant Mentor group for my two years of Provisional Elder’s Orders and this is the study we are about to begin. I look forward to writing posts on what we discover. Please send questions that you may have and I will answer them here on the blog.

Hi, Ron, we had a discussion on inclusion of all a bit back. I sensed you a tad conservative as we say in NY. I like Gayle’s writing, she writes for Cokesbury. But, she may be a little bit more liberal than you. Good reading. She is close to you in N. Carolina. God’s blessings

Hi Dave, I read some of this work when I was in Seminary but very little so I am excited about reading it. The best thing I have read on Communion is by Bishop Willamon “Remember who you are” thanks again.

Thanks, Ron, you put some good stuff up here and I often pass along to other United Methodists, even Roman Catholics. I think you would like Brennan Manning’s “Posers, Fakers, and Wannabees”. He is the recovering alcoholic Roman Catholic priest who decided to marry and raise a family. I bet Holston conference could get him down some year. I think he is in his 70’s now.

I actually went to Knoxville just a few years ago and heard him in person. I have read Abba’s Child and Ragamuffin Gospel. As a matter of fact just this morning I signed up to review his latest book “Souvenirs of Solitude”. Maybe this is a sign its going to be a great book. Amazing you mention him.
