Bring the Rain

I have heard this song so many times but now it is ringing in my life in a louder message.  9 days ago my brother “Keith” was taken from this earth in an auto accident. He left behind a family that is broken and in pain. We are not without hope. We believe that Keith knew Jesus Christ and that Keith did trust that Jesus was the only way to heaven. In that sense we celebrate that Keith is not suffering and he is at rest, his body is at rest and Keith is busy in heaven with God, doing whatever we will someday be doing. I can honestly say that money, possessions, nothing in this life is worth losing our eternal home in heaven. Our families and friends that God allows us to have here on earth are so precious to us. It is so much better to have loved Keith and had him in our lives for almost 46 years than it would have been to never have known him. I rejoice that I had my brother who was also my friend and someone who would always have been the first person by my side in a difficult time. Oh God I miss my brother, I want so bad to walk with him and talk about all the things we didn’t talk about. We were total opposites on most things but we loved each other. Heaven is sweeter than it has ever been before. My Sister went there 21 years ago at the age of 26 and now my brother at the age of 45. All of my grandparents are there and I soon will be also, I can’t wait. However, there is work to be done here and we need to get busy because either by the Lord’s return or our death, time is short. Let’s praise God in the storm and praise Him in the sunshine and let’s get busy.
