Joy, UnSpeakable Joy
Sunday, December 19, 2010, FUMC Hillsville launched the first preview service at Out Of The Box Worship Center on Main Street in Hillsville. Emotions were running high and the 100 in attendance were wonderfully blessed by the music of the praise band, words of praise by worship leader Jay Holderfield and the message of “Unspeakable Joy” from Pastor Ronnie Collins. Even though we have had two cancelled preview services due to the winter weather and a few setbacks with construction and permits, the first preview service was spirit filled and those in attendance saw the glory of God in this special place. We are thankful for what God has provided. Glory to God!

A Prayer for Out Of The Box and the People who make it up…
Matthew 6:2 Jesus says, “When you give”
Matthew 6:5 Jesus says, “When you pray”
Matthew 6: 16 Jesus says, “When you fast”
Here is my prayer for Out of the Box Worship Center:
God, I pray that your people at Out Of The Box Worship Center will be people of the Book. I pray that we will be people who give sacrificially; I pray that we will be a people who give in order that those who are without will have enough. I pray that we will be a people who give back what is already yours, with a cheerful heart. It is my desire that we will be a people of prayer. I pray that we will lift people before the throne of heaven rather than before the gossip of hungry ears. I pray that we will have faith to believe that whatever we ask will be done for us. I pray that we will see how you provide in miraculous ways when your people are reaching out to the world around us. I pray that we will be a people of unity, a people who may not agree on everything but we will agree to work together and be who You have called us to be, together. And finally I pray that we will be a biblical people, a people who Fast, a people who humble ourselves before You, a people who take your words seriously. It is my prayer that Out Of The Box Worship Center will be a World Changing Church, starting in our own community.
