I don’t have any direct quotes to share from this book at the moment but over the next few weeks I will share more. I actually had Kindle read this book to me today on my way to Knoxville Tennessee.
Wow, what a great book with a lot of insight into a parable that is been “in my opinion” titled wrong for many years. It is the Luke 15 passage that is commonly referred to as “The Prodigal Son”. Let me just say there is a lot in this parable about the younger son but there is a lot about the older brother and even more to say about the “Prodigal Father.”
Outstanding book, I wouldn’t agree with everything in the book but there is definite Gold here. This is my first book by Tim Keller and I am pretty sure that I will read more of his work in the future, he is a great and wise writer.
I will actually be preaching from the Luke 15 passage over the next 4 weeks and as I prepare the sermons I will share more here about the book.
