Book Notes: Renegade by Vince Antonucci

Renegade

I downloaded this book after seeing an ad for it in Outreach Magazine and reading some great reviews. I must say it is a great book and one that God has used at this time in my life. I have been getting the message for the past couple of weeks that God is getting ready to make some BIG change in my life. I have always felt this way just before something life changing. It was one that I couldn’t put down and read in just a couple of days. This book has challenged me once again that our faith is not to make us safe, our faith is a risk taking relationship with the God of the universe. The risk is not on Gods part but on us to see if we really have the faith we say we do.

Vince Antonucci has been called to plant a church on The LasVegas Strip and not only that, his church has been called to shine the light into the darkness. Well, all churches have been called to do this but a lot of churches dont ever venture into the darkness. Matter of fact, many churches believe the church is a place to stay safe from the darkness.

God has called us to share our faith. Read Renegade and you will be inspired to do more than ever before. Most of us will pray that God doesn’t call us to Vegas.

“Here’s the issue: we get to choose whether we want to follow Jesus, but we don’t get to choose what it looks like to follow Jesus. We want to follow Jesus and we want to live nice, safe, comfortable lives that are “normal.” That’s a problem—because it doesn’t work. You can’t have both. Following Jesus means embracing a selfless, crazy, dangerous, God-obsessed life, and that’s something most people refuse to do.”

Hey Ronnie, Thanks for reading and reviewing my book! I’m glad you enjoyed it! If you could do me a favor: Would you be willing to post your review on Amazon? It’d be awesome to let people considering buying it see what you thought of it. Thanks!
