A letter from Pastor Ronnie to Out Of The Box WC – May 26th, 2013

Praise Team Uprising

The picture above is from Uprising last night at The Rex Theater in Galax Va. What an awesome night! Our band gathered with Cornerstone and Christ Chapel of Galax and it was a GREAT time. I hope we can do it more often, nothing like working together as God’s Family to Praise His Name. Matter of fact we need to do some ministry work together, that would be a blast and good for all of us. Thanks to the teams for working so hard and making it a night to remember.

Today we had another great day of worship at OOTBWC. It never ceases to amaze me by how many people each week work to make downtown an experience where people come and feel the Spirit of God and the Love of His people. Today was especially one of those days. The music was over the top and the response from the message was so positive, a lot of people told me they laid some Bitterness down today and walked away from it.

Here are a few points to remember from the day.

Bitterness, it not only will poison the people around you, but bitterness, not dealt with according to scripture, will also poison you.

Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. 15 See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many. Heb 12:14-15

  • BITTERNESS HAS A DANGEROUS RootSee to it that…no bitter root grows up… Heb. 12:15
  • BITTERNESS PRODUCES A POISONOUS Fruit. whenever (the bitter root) springs up, many are corrupted by its poison. Heb 12:15 NLT
  • KILL BITTERNESS WITH ForgivenessGet rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Eph 4:31-32

“Forgive as you have been forgiven.”

It is absolutely necessary for us to be all that God wants us to be.  It is critical.  Jesus told us why in Matthew 6:14-15,

For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Matt 6:14-15

You have a choice, give forgiveness and receive forgiveness or withhold forgiveness and miss out on God’s forgiveness.

Ronnie
