Craig Groeschel Catalyst 2014 “Change”

Mark 2:1-5 NIV
How do we create a culture of innovation in our church and ministry?
The church at one time led the way in influencing culture. Now people are shocked when the church does anything innovative.
We’ve said to the government, “you can take care of people because we’re busy doing inward things.”
Limited Resources + a willingness to fail + an increasing passion to share the gospel with the world are three things we need in the church.
We can’t because we don’t have… “you fill in the blank”
We serve an all-powerful God who has given us everything we need to reach the people He has called us to reach.
Limited resources can become a catalyst for exponential innovation.
Embrace your limitations.
You may not have everything you want but you have everything you need.
Mindset change: We can’t because we don’t to “We can because we don’t.”
We need a willingness to fail.
Mindset change: Failure is not an option to “Failure is Necessity.”
Not taking risks ultimately leads to failure.
When we are leading in fear of failure we are leading without faith.
Don’t blame yourself for the declines. If you do then someday you will give yourself credit for the increases.
Some of the greatest potential you have will come through failure.
A failure is an event. It is something that happens, it’s not who you are.
We get busy doing the church things and we are essentially saying to the world, you can go to Hell.
If you have been transformed, you will be in the bars, the gym, everywhere telling people about Jesus.
Sometimes you gotta dig through some manure to get to Jesus.
We don’t want to reach people for Christ, we have to.
If we’re going to reach people were going to have to break some rules.
If you’re not being called a cult every now and then you’re not doing anything for the kingdom of God.
Failure for us is something we are going to do and move forward.
Give us faith to do things others think is impossible.
We will reach people for Christ!
