5K Challenge

19th Annual   Twin County  Regional HealthCare Autumn Day 5K Run

Here is the challenge: I will donate $10.00 to the FUMC Youth Fund for every person that runs as a member of FUMC and beats me. Now that is not so hard to do. I have really fallen short on my training and right now I am running 3.1 miles in about 25 minutes. Most people can do better than that, even girls!

I will warn you that I am training again and I intend to drop several pounds by October and hopefully decrease my time by at least 2 minutes.

Are you up for the challenge? If so we can even plan some weekend training runs. Now some people will say, I am too old to run. I would have to tell you that my 66 year old mother is out there running a race with me every weekend. Now, are you still too old?

Look at it as a way to make some easy money for the youth fund, look at it as a way to beat me in a race. Either way you look at it, the worst you could do is have better health for being out there. At the most you could win some cash!

By the way, this is one of the few races where they have teams who run and the total times are added for the final time. We can make several teams, Cool!

We already know that the 5K King Family will be out for the challenge, who will join us?
