Do you ever feel like this Lizard? You feel like the walls are closing in on you and you are doing everything possible to fight to stay alive.
The key is that we never give up. We never know what the next second will bring. I am convinced that many people who take their own lives would have been just fine if they had waited just a few minutes more.
Life is a struggle and the battle scars run deep but the victory has already been won. I don’t know what your struggle is today. Maybe it is a marriage that is just surviving, maybe it is a health issue, financial issue, children who are going astray, or even parents who are out of control. Maybe it is an addiction of some sort. In today’s world there is a lot of secrecy, trying to hide from those around us what it is that we struggle with.
I have learned through my walk with The Lord that most of the time our problems don’t just get immediately better. As a matter of fact sometimes they get worse. But I have also learned that God never promised us a worry free life. That would be pointless. Everybody would want to follow God then, if we could all be healthy, wealthy and have the best body in town. If that was what Christianity was our churches would be full every time the doors were open but it’s not. The fact is our churches suffer in attendance, not just from the people we would like to see visit but from the people who are on out membership rolls. Most people really don’t understand that it’s all about Him and not about me.
Keep up the struggle, stay close to God the Father, stay connected to your life source, the Holy Spirit. The battle has been won, there is work for us to do here and one day we will see the fruit of our labor. Keep up the struggle, don’t even think about quitting. The devil is a liar!
